But, for my own curiousity, why are you running two? Your D-Link has a four port switch. You must have some network situations I did not notice in your post.

i have two buildings one with internet and one that is about 1000ft away. i decided to go with the routers because i already had one so all i would have to do is buy some nice antennas and a new router. as for OS one is 98 and the other is XP. I know that the signal on both ends are working fine. i think its a problem with the net sharing maybe, ip, or DHCP, or MAC, maybe there is some sort of conflict with the settings. i dunno
