High school is such a small thing. Unfortunately, the emotional scars run deep and some people never get over it. Also, some people peak early and high school is the greatest they will ever do.
I feel sorry for both. Treat high school for what it is...4 years trying to get along with (any number) of people just as neurotic as you are.
In 10 years look back. If you still have strong feelings...get some help.
