i like howard dean, most of his platform at least. (except the defense spending part). he seems pretty moderate and should put up a good challenge.

I also support Dean. I agree with his concern for balancing the national budget, reducing its debt and his stance on 'W's war. I feel that the 'gun control' issue is moot and the fact that the NRA chapter in Vermont once endorsed Dean will have the back-woods, redneck republicans not worrying that their guns will be taken from them. Thus, they won't be so eager to drive into town and vote. Gun control, as we all know, was an issue that added to Gore's political demise. I also believe Dean has the ability to organize the democrats' agenda and restore our great nation's fundamental principles of decency, responsibility, freedom, mutual respect and most of all our credibility. No easy task considering the damage done by 'W' in such short time. I think Dean’s foreign policy along with his plan on homeland security and defense spending are well thought out and substantial enough to protect us from the increased threat levels from terrorism that 'W's clumsy and arrogant foreign policy incurred.
Likewise, If Dean should fail to win the Party's nomination for president, I too will support the candidate who has the best chance to replace the incumbent.
