As the others said just Suck it Up. You need practice and you shouldn't be distracted. I had 10,000Km (unusual circimstances) of city driving under my belt before I got my unrestricted licence.
It's really safer for everyone and helps impress the idea your licence is a privilage that can be revoked when you become a danger to others. Most traffic laws and regulations are to protect others. The system doesn't care if you are only a danger to your self.
