On the styling: Kinda looks likes a guy at VW got a hold of a 360 Modena.
Apart from that, let's not bash Ford too much. They did come out with some wonderful cars. Anyone remember the GT 40? Any of the Shelby's. Hell, the Ford Lola cars? And no, I don't even really like Ford the brand much at all. I just think that the Mustang engine may have been a good choice because it's dirt cheap and it produces a whole lot of power. It's probably also a stab at Le Mans. The Corvettes and Dodges are beating the hell out of Ferrari and even Porsche because they use engines that have a rediculous amount of displacement and produces lots of power at low revs. Anything that revs higher is at a disadvantage because of the air restrictor plates they use.

Corvette says it all themselves. Anyhow, the mustang engine makes sense.... ok, ok. Not that much sense. But if they enter Le Mans, we all know why they put a big 'ol 'merican engine in it.
At risk of making this too long, I'd like to add that the CART cars make that much horsepower because they're not road cars and they rev up to 11k rpm or whatever it is. But that fact that this may be street legal and make 145 hp a liter is still pretty impressive.
Oh yeah, the new Bugatti only makes 125 hp/liter or so. With how many turbos?
