It's just part of the mac mentality. They get insulted so much that they (we, rather) feel the need to compensate by shouting our loyalty to the heavens.
Plus, who feels inspired to be loyal to Dell, who just buys bits from people and puts em together. So much more fun to see what new and exciting egg Apple's gonna pull out their ear next!
