I used to play Warhammer 40k quite a bit. My brother has a complete marine chapter painted up (as in 10,000 pts of space marines == $1500 bucks in minis... oof...). I never got that into it though. I still enjoy playing Warhammer Quest with some friends as a "one nighter" when our usual Dungeon Master's not in town.
Games workshop games are fun, just too darn expensive.
