Hey there...I have crooked teeth...well a few of them aren't all that bad...my top row is alright but it's the bottom row that is a bit squished....I think I have one too many teeth or something so they are too close together and a couple of them started to grow crooked...but not too bad...doesn't affect speech or eating or anythig like that...SO my dentist finally told me that I would need braces and to go see some other special dentist...I said to myself AHHH!!! NO!!!!!...never...I don't want metal crap in my face...that's just ASKING to be made fun of...it SUX...I KNEW that there HAD to be an alternative...so when I came home I started watching TV...I saw this commercial and it was an INVISALIGN COMMERCIAL (
Quicktime and
MPEG why they have them as exe's I'll never know...prolly so other OS's can dl them maybe)...this looked like it would be JUST the thing I needed...
so I went to see this other dentist and he said that I would need braces to straighten out the teeth...I told him about Invisalign and he said it MIGHT work...he said that they exaggerate a bit in their commercial...he also said that they MAY have to take out a tooth and that it would only take about 2 month for the gap to close using the invisalign...he told me of another dentist that specializes in Invisalign and he took moldings of my teeth and xrays and stuff (the moldings taste like CRAP so bring some bottled water...remember...this is a dentist so don't be bringing coke or nothin like that
)...the dentist sent out the moldings and stuff to the Invisalign HQ (I don't really know where they send it...that's just what I called it LOL)...
so after a LONG time...like a month to a month 1/2 I got a call from the Invisalign dentist and he said that my Invisaligns have come in and that I DON'T have to have any teeth taken out...so I went down there and he tried them on...they were a pretty nice fit...they are clear and it was HARD to see if you had anything on your teeth at all...oh yeah...they DO have to put like a few little bumps on your teeth that act like little knobs or holders to make sure the invisaligns stay in place and don't fall out...nothing permanent tho...
So I am supposed to have them on AT ALL TIMES except when I eat...you can take them off and put them back on with ease after a bit of practice...you can wear them ANYWEAR....BUT you have to bring a tooth brush and toothpaste to brush your teeth EVERY TIME after you eat...cause you don't want food or crap getting in your alligners and screw up ur teeth and stuff...so far so good...he says that the teeth are moving...I have to have them in for 2 1/2 to 3 years...then they'll be STRAIGHT...YAY!!! Can't wait...well I hope this helps some ppl out...THANX
C'YA ?:-D
