Hmmmm... I didn't know the above stat.
This is a tough situation - kids with special needs are very, very expensive. But I'll have to side with the doctors. We've had kids born with birth defects for as long as we've been birthing kids. I don't believe a routine sonogram can always detect problems with the fetus. In greytone's example, there was a woman, in the field of medicine, having a baby over the age of forty, and shocked the child had some problems. Hello, you should know the risks go way up with age.
