If you think the old are a "drain on society," check out the disabled. Expensive surgeries, adaptive equipment, constant assistance in their homes and community, the tab runs up pretty quick.
And if you go from the elderly to the disabled, where do you stop? People with only one disability? "Oh, you're only blind, so you get to live." WTF?
