After a week? are you sure? As a 22 year old male its going to take something special to get me interested for more than a week or 2, I can see your point if you modified it to be more than a day or 2. But not a week.
If they lose interest in a week then maybe they just "suck", before you discredit me on that read on a bit. If a guy stays with a chick a week and then leaves without sex then maybe thats the reason, and you as a female probably dont' want to be with him. If they leave after a week with sex then there are 2 considerations: 1. maybe the dude is a prick and got what he wanted, or 2. maybe you just don't fit what he wants. Sorry to say that but shit you can't please everyone.
Unless this chronically happens to you don't worry, if it chronically happens then look at what you are saying to the guy. Maybe you are too focused on commitment and scaring the guy off?
