I believe in the pre-planning of funeral expenses,wills,power of attorney etc.
As far as caring for the elderly or ill go- I moved my mother into my house when she was dying of cancer and took care of her. I lost job opportunities and lived off my savings.Three years later I'm just getting back to the point I was 3 years ago in terms of earning.
Did it hurt my career? I think more than I would ever choose to admit. Was it a struggle? For those who have ever dealt with people with cancer,very much so. Did I get the best lesson in life to live your days to the fullest? You bet I did. Would I do it again? In less than a heartbeat.
