Summers rain wet my head, and from it hair did sprout
The water ran down the green valley letting go of drought
I looked upon the wet mountain to watch the flowers grow
The lightning light the darkened sky putting on a show
I strolled upon a grassy valley taking in the dew
The warm soft breeze reminds me of the time I spent with you
I smiled and skipped to songs of love that played within my head
I thought of all the beauty here and all the things you said
The hills they bring me back today to thankfullness and peace
They take away the hungry heart and give my mind a feast
The plants and trees are calling me to give my head a rest
And lay down in the forest green and wet my tired chest
The plants and dirt are where I'm from I try not to forget
And troubles fly when I realize there blessings not got yet

And as she plays,
her sweet song of laughter
floats through the air
and warms my heart
