The proof thing is God's way of providing us with something called "Free Will". God will not provide proof of his existence. He wants us to believe in him because we
want to, not because we have to. It provides us with the greatest dilemma of all time. Does he exist or doesn't he. You're right when you say that's why they call it "faith".
