Well, after going to the movies this weekend I saw a trailer that blew my mind. It was the trailer for none other than....
Freddy vs. Jason. Anyone remember the buzz of this movie made when it was first mentioned back in the early '90s. Isn't it amazing that about 10 years after it was first mentioned it is being made/released in theaters... Anyway, I have long thought this was just another bit of Hollywood folk lore. Another movie that had be talked about but put in the trashcan to never come out and leave people wondering if the rumors were ever true in the first place (Duke Nukem anyone?).
For all you Freddy fans Robert Englund is returning as Mr. Krueger and Kane Hodder once again plays Jason(About 4 people have played Jason total). However, I haven't seen Wes Kraven's name attached to the film at all. *shrugs*
Also, for those of you wondering this is a brief overview of the film:
"Teenagers find themselves caught in the middle of a dream battle between two famous forces of evil: Freddy Krueger (A Nightmare on Elm Street) and Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) go mano y mano, as Freddy enters the dream world of Jason. The movie is said to start on Elm Street before eventually winding its way to Camp Crystal Lake for the final showdown."
Anyway, I plan to see this flick as a "why not" film. I'm not going expecting it to be great or really scary, but I hope it will at least be fun . It will be a little different and maybe with some luck it won't be a waste of 7 bucks. How about the rest of you?
