For what it is, the movie was definitely enjoyable for both my wife and me. If you don't like the sub-genre maybe give it a pass but if you tend to enjoy superhero movies see this one.

Old Boy 4/10
This was described to me as a great action flick but the action was unimpressive. It was more of a horror movie. Memorable maybe but definitely not pleasant or fun at all. And if considered as a thought-provoking horror movie it lacked subtlety and surprises. The main actor was good enough that if you really want to watch a mildly disturbing, predictable movie then this might be worth a try.
