I've done that. No joke. Collecting plant specimens in the cloud forests of French Polynesia. It's awesome. I will do it again in a heartbeat. And to get to that kind of ridge line there's a significant amount of bouldering involved.

While I didn't photograph the truly intense parts of the trails I traveled, I did take one photo that shows a bit of the insanity. Here's a photo of me in 2007, off the trail on a sheer mountain edge, while bagging a sedge.
