anyone have/experiment with a 3dtv and pc gaming?

i had a perfect storm recently...

my dad got a nice 3dtv and just poking around online i found a relatively new software package from nvidia, which just happened to be the gpu i put in my relatively new desktop, and i had to house sit for them.

apparently if you have a top shelf nvidia gpu the program comes with 3d visoin, and if not you can get it for 40 bucks. but before that you can download a free 2 week trial... so i lined it up while i house sat.

it was pretty impressive. i historically haven't been a 3d fan but it grew on me. it uses the gpu to render both layers of graphics and messages to the goggles and works with a bunch of common games.

the downfall is that the max resolution is ~1280x720, but depending on the game it's worth it.

wow is a lot of fun especially just checking out a capital city. a few games like batman and trine are specifically made for it and are amazing.

anyway, just wanted to hear what you thought and point it out because i haven't seen much press on it.
