At the end my wife (who hasn't read the books) gave me a "WTF" face. She hadn't expected Ned to be betrayed. Man, he should've listened to Renly. He might've also twigged this was going to go badly once Renly did a runner.
I remember when I first read the book I thought Spoiler: "How is Ned going to get out of this"
