The Mystery

18" x 24" acrylic - this painting was one of those that comes as a sudden and rather complete image, and I spend most of my time trying to find the image on the canvas while it slowly faded into a flash-burnt ghost of itself floating in the minds eye. It was on the easel for several months while other work got in the way, which slows things down a fair bit especially considering how slowly I seem to work anyway.
I included the sketch I made when I first envisioned this piece because I've gathered that sometimes people are interested in seeing that sort of thing.
