You'll find many coscientious rappas, like Pharoah Monch, Jay Z, Tupac Shakur, Talib Kwale, and many more.
The strange thing is you never seem to be able to find coscientious popstars or rockers, who are willing to throw aside their 'front' and ask the Lord God for forgiveness for their sins, or say I love you mom/pops on the mic, in the way rappers do.

That right there is what most Rappers are about. They have a big car, bitches, drugs, money etc etc... Hedonism at its best. You say dig deeper & they you tell me to listen to Jay-Z?? C'mon, You dont even have to listen to his music to see that hes all about bitches cars keepin it real etc etc. Look at the cd sleeve. Pictures of him looking hard, with a car perhaps, a few women, a wad of cash maybe. I have one album on wax & its completely coverd with loads of pictures of him looking threatening, pouting, doing that stupid rapper hand dealy, standing beside his car. Its not deep, Its "look at me, Im so tough, check my wheels, playa playa, smack down! etc etc..."
If you want to be specific what youre listening to isnt Hip-Hop, its rap & there is a difference.
