I hate to argue with ya, but it is definitely his new agent Pat Brisson. While they are talking, their seems to be an issue about an offer made during the regular season which Federov never turned down, but asked the Wings to wait while he sorted out some personal problems. Then when he came back and was ready to talk, they had removed that offer and started with a lower deal. Here is the article:

You can also check the Detroit news for todays articles about the negotiations, but they don't ever seem to have the same inside info as the free press, they just tend to speculate alot, and whine bitch and moan. I still haven't heard much about Woolley, who I really hope they can keep. He fits in so perfectly with their style of play, it would be a shame to let him go.
