I've checked on the laws and the way I understand it you can record them if they're harrassing in nature. I'm going to discuss it with a lawyer friend tomorrow.
The thing is he calls from several different locations. Sometimes it's from a cell phone (which is easy enough to spot and avoid) sometimes it's from random payphones, and sometimes it's from his various friends' houses.
