It's just over 2 lbs. (soybeans), which is why vegans and vegetarians use sources other than raw vegetables. In a way it's like how omnivores don't just walk up to a grazing cow and bite it.

Besides, 6 oz of protein is well above what the average human requires in a daily diet; most only need 4 or 5 oz.
