I'm a mix of English, Scottish and Irish, so i'm a full blooded Celt i think. My Scottish ancestor traces back to the Cameron Clan, which they slightly expect came from the Scandinavian - Danish region. So heavy north European.
If you put the world down to a ratio of 100 people, 66 would already be Asian. We've got a book around the house called 'The History Of White People.' But i don't see our history as a +3 good - 7 bad = -4 history type thing.
And no i strongly disagree with the idea of our differences being negative. Sure there have been negative aspects of it, but there has been positive. I talked about this before in another thread. There is this idea that we believe we should interact with each other in total disregard of race, ethnicity, gender national origin rather than benefiting from the diversity. We don't believe in turning complexity into opportunity.
But there are companies that do and are really successful because of it. I don't think approaching history in a utilitarian perspective works!
