They looked at her.
"No, kids, look!" claimed Runni, "The sun is coming up!"
"Was it dark out?" to each other, with a glance. "You're looking through the statue's armpit," said Rhodes to their mother, "At that tilt, it's about 3PM."
Runni had a moment.
"How can you ignore THEM?" Rhodes asked his sister.
"Ignore who?" she asked him back.
"This hillside, that hillside, stranded on beaches worldwide: they're your children, Desiree!"
"Look up, Rhodes. The sky is full of sparkly dirt."
"Dad!" cried Rhodes.
"Son?" answered Snoddi, from his distraction.
"A little moral support?" Rhodes whined & almost growled; a trick he had learned from the puppies.
"I haven't got any," Snoddi truthed.
Rhodes decided, right then & there, to continue with his autobiography.
