I have no piercings myself. I once saw a girlfriend of my sister's get into a fight on the schoolbus when we were kids.
The other girl deliberately reached up and ripped the piercing out of her ear. It turned my stomach then, and gave me a kind of phobia ever since.
But, if I were to ever try it, I'd like to get a row of posts going down the bridge of my nose, or ear piercings like the Bajorans had on Star Trek.
