I'm concerned that calling people racist, like the example in the OP, are going to be used as an excuse to censor legitimate dissent. I believe in free speech, and free speech is threatened when people use the charge of racism to try and silence their detractors.

I actually agree with the point you were trying to make. Unfortunately, we live in a world where being called anti-Semetic is the ultimate charge whereas being anti-Muslim is normal, so it's not quite the same thing, but your point is still valid.
