Yes, a few have been apolitical or have been so skewed that they can't be linked to a political ideology, but I've not seen any Al Gore supporters or Obama voters trying to blow anything up or shoot anyone for clearly political reasons. Other than that nut that shot up the Discovery Channel, I can't think of an example in my lifetime (dob 1983).
