This is what I do. I always tip very well, but if they give me something free. What comes around, goes around. I take that item I would have paid for anyways, and just tip them even more.
It's the little things in life that make it worthwhile. The manager at my local McDs saw my little boy with no toy, playing with other kids who had happy meals (we had just ate at home and were there for a dessert and playground). So he got a happy meal car and gave it to my little guy to play with.
It's the small stuff like that, that makes people VERY happy in an otherwise mundane and lonely world.
Are bartenders flirtatious, or just NICE because it pays off in the end? Who knows, maybe both. If you think you're good looking, chances are she thought so too
