I'm not sure if you're only talking electronics, but the majority of the time, when I change brands from one I liked or worked well for me, it has a poor outcome. I completely screwed an entire pot of chili once just by changing brands of beans. Most times when I buy pants, I stick with one kind and when I change, people notice they don't look as nice.
There was one exception. I've always been a Windows/PC and Linux person, but I'm pondering changing to Mac for portable computing after exceptional experiences with both MacBook Air and a MacBook. The ease of use is amazing. But I just worry with some of the compatability with some of my school programs. I'm learning that I can run a virtual Windows Desktop on a Macbook, so I'm looking into it.
