I love breakfast.
I don't think I could choose a favourite. I kind of go through phases of what I want to eat for breakfast. Here are some of my favourites:
Scrambled eggs on toast (made like the video above... trust me, you will see the difference, especially if you add just a little grated Parmesan cheese towards the end).
Pancakes with homemade compote (don't settle for pre-mix out of the box, scratch pancakes are where it's at)
Bircher Muesli (I prefer this over classic cooked oatmeal)
Diner Specials (2-3 eggs over easy, bacon or sausage, fried potatoes (not hash browns), toast, juice and coffee) - it's all about the location
Butter Kaya Toast and half boiled eggs (Singapore classic)
Omelettes
Of course, bacon goes with all of this if you wish and good, strong coffee is a must. In fact, the bare bones breakfast is toast with peanut butter and jam and a coffee. If it came down to it, I could live on peanut butter (in fact, at one time I almost did).
I could eat breakfast for every meal and be content.
