If you haven't discovered it yet: take asparagus and toss it in some olive oil and sprinkle it with black pepper, and then let it sit for at least 10 minutes. Grill it for about 4 to 8 minutes (depending on the temperature of your grill), turning once. You want to grill it until it just starts to get tender. The heads will begin to char, while the stems should have grill marks and will become visibly tender.
