I say try it first just to have the experience - every person's taste preferences are different and every guy tastes different as well.
I personally don't mind the taste of cum at all, but I do find some guys much more mild than others. The biggest positive difference I have seen personally is guys who smoke compared to those who do not - for some reason the nicotine made things seem much more bitter to me.
