My husband and I have a routine on Saturday mornings--at least Saturdays when the farmer's market is going on. We only have about six weeks a year where there is no market, and when it's not happening (like right now), I miss it very much because it's so much a part of what we do on Saturdays.
We get up, have coffee, go to market, go run errands (like additional grocery shopping), and listen to Car Talk on the radio in the car while we run errands. Car Talk repeats on Sundays so I get to catch all the pieces I missed on Saturday while running around
If it's outdoor market, we pop in to our favorite wine shop while we're downtown and do some tasting before heading over to the brewing supply shop and looking at recipes for the next brew. I like to get to outdoor market early, especially during tomato season, so I can have first dibs on whatever's in. If it's indoor market, we're a little more leisurely about getting there.
It feels weird to just be lounging around on a Saturday, when I'm used to getting up and going somewhere.
What about you? Are there things you absolutely have to do on a Saturday? Do you have a routine, even on the weekend?
