Darghon had a point... Vinoh's previous use of telepathy at the village did produce some frightening results. His will is strong, but how would it hold at the heart of evil? Yes, it would be foolish to separate the group, no matter how balanced the parties might be... This point was reinforced by Gell's common sense that any enemy would prefer a divide an conquer method, which would put the group at a disadvantage.
Now that Darghon and D'Aleen had already taken off to check out the top of the ziggurat, Vinoh uses his will to lift himself up to that level, making sure to still be within view of his comrades on the ground and at a safe distance from the temple at the top.
"OK, we're wasting precious time discussing possible entry points here. I'll check out the top with Darghon and D'Aleen, but will remain at a safe distance, in case anything crawls out of there. Please keep an eye on that crack in the temple; I can be one the ground in just a few seconds if you spot anything."
Reaching a height equal to the temple, Vinoh nods to the rest of his scouting party and sees...
