LMS 2500 by Adrian Cains
author's comments:
2500 is one of only 37 3 cylinder tank locomotives built by the LMS to work services on the old London,
Tilbury and Southend Railway in 1934. It is the only survivor of its class. They were followed by a design of
2 cylinder tanks by Stanier, and by his successor Charles Fairburn, eventually morphing into the successful Standard Class 4 tank of BR.
