It is Movember, once more.
( The NHL is a willing sports-organization participant, but I have not seen the NFL or OLY-swimming association give it its due yet.)
Here's the (semi-delayed) scoop: Spanish painter Salvador Dali's facial hair has been voted the best-known moustache of all time.
The surrealist's meticulously waxed moustache is the most famous, according to almost a quarter of Britons.
The poll, which surveyed 14,144 British men for MSN Him, found 1990s wrestling star Hulk Hogan's trademark 'handlebar' number came second with 18 per cent of the vote.
Albert Einstein came third with 13 per cent, followed by 19th century philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and then comic actor Charlie Chaplin.
The Man, The Myth, The Mustachio.

Salvador Dali had a pet Ocelot named ' Babou'.
On one occasion he took his pet to a fashionable New York restaurant and tied
its lead to a leg of his table prior to ordering. A woman, walking past, stopped and
protested at the fact that wild animals were being allowed in. Dali calmly replied
that it was only a cat that he’d painted in op-art style.
