Suing Carnival might not be that easy and you may have to travel to Florida to file such a suit. Someone sent me part of the clause written on every Carnival Cruise "passenger agreement."-

It is agreed by and between the passenger and the Carrier that all disputes and matters whatsoever arising under, in connection with or incident to this Contract [499 U.S. 585, 588] shall be litigated, if at all, in and before a Court located in the State of Florida, U.S.A. to the exclusion of the Courts of any other state or country.
Maritime law is completely different then other forms of the legal system. I believe laws regarding air travel are also unique.
