I LOVE to travel, and that is where the majority of my extra money goes. I don't own a smart phone, and while I do have a macbook pro, i bought a refurb unit and use them for years. my first laptop is now 4.5 years old, and while it still works its running off Tiger 10.4 and so has become a media station laptop instead.
I just got a flat screen earlier this year at the instance of my parents.. this TV will probably last me 10 years. I will usually buy something in the middle to lower top third of price range. I don't want to replace it every six months if it breaks or becomes completely outdated, so that extra money is enough to meet my needs plus maybe 10-15% more.
