So some of my favs are...
To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar
Patrick Swayze (may he rest in peace) was smokin in that movie. It was also so feel good with the small town accepting the queens for who they are. Also, Julie Newmar makes an appearance and she is GORGEOUS!
"Little Latin boy in drag, why are you crying?"
Juno
I loved the sarcasm of the Juno Character. I think this movie could have been about me circa 1997, sans teenage pregnancy.
So many great lines. I could watch that over and over.
Vanessa:Your parents are probably wondering where you are.
Juno: Nah. I mean, I'm already pregnant, so what other kind of shenanigans could I get into?
Leah: It's probably just a food baby. Did you have a big lunch?
Juno: You should've gone to China, you know, 'cause I hear they give away babies like free iPods. You know, they pretty much just put them in those t-shirt guns and shoot them out at sporting events.
Jun: Ow, ow, fuckity-ow! Bren, when do I get that spinal tap thing?
Stepmom: It's called a spinal block. And you can't have it yet, honey. The doctor said you're not dilated enough.
Juno: You mean I have to wait for it to get worse? Why can't they just give it to me now?
Stepmom: Well, honey, doctors are sadists who like to play God and watch lesser people scream...
Convenient store guy: That ain't no Etch-A-Sketch. This is one doodle that can't be un-did, Homeskillet.
My favorite exchange that made my heart melt a little...
Dad: I thought you were the kind of girl who knew when to say when.
Juno: I don't know what kind of girl I am.
Killer Clowns from Outer Space
It's just disturbing and doesn't help with my fear of clowns. Stephen King's It is scarier, but the Outer Space clowns were just bizarre.
I remember watching it at a pretty young age too.
My DVD collection is pretty much filled with quirky movies.
