In the last year I've seen Jonathan Coulton twice, once on his own with Paul and Storm opening, and once when HE was opening for They Might Be Giants. It's hard to say which order, but they are probably #1 and #2 on my list of bests. That guy's amazing. TMBG were INCREDIBLE, and I liked Paul and Storm far more than I expected to. #3 was Santana--his rhythm section was fucking spectacular.
I can't really think of a BAD concert I've been to. Even when I wasn't so into the music I found something to entertain myself. I once laughed at how drunk Steven Stills was. The summer ('91) when Pink Floyd was touring and I was too broke to go was pretty brutal. I sat in my crap apartment and moped the evening they were playing about 40 minutes from me.
