Seriously? This thread hasn't had a comment since half a year before it's release? I'm ashamed of my fellow TFPgamers!
So... who's playing? I actually think this is the best Halo ever, and Bungie went out with a bang. I'll admit I'm somewhat of a Halo fanboy, but I'm also quick to point out the flaws (like the entire campaign of Halo 2?). This has the feel of Halo 3, with awesome customization, great gameplay, and the gritty feel (in campaign at least) of ODST. Daily and weekly challenges are fun mini-goals, the commendations are a cool way to track your medals, and Firefight is very well done.
