I was pretty much in love with Michael Jackson when I was a kid. Y'know the red jacket with all the zippers he wore in the Beat It video? Yeah, I had that. I still have it...but it doesn't fit anymore

I also had a purple purse with the Thriller album cover.

So, yeah. I grew up with Michael Jackson (solo, that is. I was born in '81, so I didn't listen to, or even know about, the Jackson 5 until junior high.) Favorite song? Hmmm...I'd have to go with either "The Way You Make Me Feel" or "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough."

I was out with my best friend (ZombieSquirrel.) We were having dinner before seeing the Gin Blossoms in concert, and my mom sent me a text telling me the news. We both just kind of looked at each other like "what the fuck?" Felt like part of my childhood died, too.
