I guess that's what you get when you turn news into entertainment, you have to keep you fan base alive by investing in it. More Republicans competeing in races and being in power means more interested conservatives watching your channel...it sure doesn't hurt from a PR prospective either.
It is sad that we have multiple 24/7 news channels and NONE of them seem either interested in or capable of presenting the viewers with an unbiased and complete look at the days news.
