so the ninth circuit court of appeals has about a week to review the appeal(s).
but the opinion from walker found them unlikely to carry the case and unable to demonstrate any harm would follow from allowing marriages to go forward while an appeal process was in motion. so this seems largely a courtesy to the federal court, yes?

i'm not a lawyer. i don't even play one on tv. but i read the text earlier announcing the delay until the 18th and that's what i gathered from it.

i have to say, this is pretty good. it'll be better when folk can marry next week. and just in time for my birthday. i think that's lovely.
