Most TV shows these days don't have original theme songs: The OC (Phantom Planet's "California"), True Blood (Jace Everett's "Bad Things"), That 70's Show (Big Star's "In the Street," but the version used on the show is performed by Cheap Trick with some changes), Freaks and Geeks (Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation"), Friends (The Rembrandts' "I'll Be There for You"), even Naruto's theme song is unoriginal (Asian Kung-Fu Generation's "Haruka Kanata"). Anyway, I'm not sure why it matters - they're still the TV show theme songs
