I think that was the single best example of how to social-media-attention-Twitter-follower-whore one's way to the top 50 Twitter celebrities (I'm not even sure if there even is such a listing).
Less than a week ago, before that tweet went out, she had around 6.5K followers, a day after the story, (when I picked up on it) it was closer to 7.1-7.2 territory, then I didn't tune back in, until you stated the above. As of this posting, this pornstar, of which I've never heard of before this week, has 110K+ followers, an increase of 2000% "popularity" on Twitter over the course of a mere five days.
One thing I didn't get though, were the stipulations: if the Netherlands had actually won, were her and her friends going to honor their spoken contract, and exactly who qualified: her current followers (the 6,000) or all of the maelstrom of followers that she acquired during this little stunt (the 100,000)? Does that include her women followers as well?
It's perhaps better that Spain won, because if they hadn't, the sheer logistics of this act of national pride would have had me scratching my head on how she would even begin trying to set forth how to accomplish, verify, and promote the event of this "promise" (and regretting not signing up to Twitter just to push one single button: "follow Bobbi Eden").
