Text messages serve a purpose. I like using them for work as they can contain loads of information, they are stored so no need to remember it, and they are correct. In the oil industry we use 4 groups of numbers for use as land locations, arranged in a coordinate system. 9-2-32-28W3 is such a location, sending these via text is way easier than trying to tell them to someone over a cell phone when you both have bad reception
Best: Internet.
Worst: Parenting through the television. Television has its place and purpose, but it is highly abused.
