I recall talking with a wise old woman.
She also had similar sentiments, especially when dealing with the overwhelming
feeling of helplessness that can occur, when we have at our fingertips,
the entire world's woe & suffering.
She helped me to understand that all any of us can change or influence,
are the few people that surround our daily lives.
One person at a time. Otherwise, the notion of attempting to fix or even comprehend
the big picture, leaves one's energies scattered, ineffectual & prone towards depression.
That shutting down action.
